When does in-person training fit?
It can suit a team working on a shared process. The facilitator can observe exercises and support discussion around a common document.
Prepare suitable computers, access and a space where demonstrations are easy to follow. Venue and travel arrangements must be agreed.
How should you prepare for an online session?
Test accounts, permissions and tools beforehand. Participants need to switch between the call, source document and assistant. Written instructions reduce dependence on screen sharing alone.
Include practice and review time. Participants should know what to produce and how to ask for help.
What about a hybrid group?
A hybrid session requires specific preparation. Remote participants must hear discussions and access the same documents. The room should not become the only centre of participation.
If those conditions cannot be met, two sessions or a fully online group may fit better. Decide during scoping.
